We will learn the origin of the name of this city. And believe me, there are not many of them. Due to the beauty of its surroundings in Lithuania, Anyk\u0161\u010diai has been declared a resort area, surrounded by hills and we will probably not find anyone who has not heard of the beauty of the Anyk\u0161\u010diai forest.<\/p>\n<p>Here we will walk through the tops of the trees &#8211; the Laj\u0173 trail. This is the first such trail in the Baltic States and throughout Eastern Europe. Here we will rise from the ground to the tops of the trees, and after climbing its observation tower, located at a height of 21 m, we will see the bends of the \u0160ventoji River and the panorama of the famous Anyk\u0161\u010diai bush. We will also see the most famous and the second largest stone in Lithuania &#8211; Puntukas stone. According to the legend, the devil carried a stone of greatness with as if pure, and wanted to throw it on the church of Anyk\u0161\u010diai, but the roosters sang and the stone remained in the forest. The bas-reliefs of Lithuanian pilots who crossed the Atlantic Ocean, Steponas Darius and Stasys Gir\u0117nas are carved on its surface.<\/p>\n<p>We will visit Anyk\u0161\u010diai church\u00a0 which has the highest church towers in Lithuania, their height is even 79 m. We will climb to the observation deck at a height of 33 m, from which the city of Anyk\u0161\u010diai, the river \u0160ventoji that separates it and the surroundings of the city will open in the middle.<\/p>\n<p>In the Narrow Railway Gauge Museum, located in the complex of the 100-year-old Anyk\u0161\u010diai Narrow Gauge Railway Station, we will see an exposition of architecture, technology and the history of the country, which has preserved the spirit of the last 20th century. Steam locomotive &#8220;Kuku\u0161ka&#8221;, other narrow gauge rolling stock, communication and signaling means and many other exhibits. At the station we will be in the waiting hall and in the office of the head of the interwar Lithuanian station and see what the &#8220;bunny&#8221; ticket looks like. Here it will be possible to test working exhibits &#8211; a manual railcar or a rail tricycle.<\/p>\n<p>For those who are thirsty for adrenaline, we will travel on Kalita Hill, where the only toboggan track in Lithuania, which is open all year round, will be waiting for you. A 500-meter track with 5 turns, a trampoline and a loop. Fasten your seat belts and catch the wind by sledding!<\/p>\n<p>In Anyk\u0161\u010diai, we will participate in an educational program about the production of candles from bee honeycomb, decorating a candlestick from natural wood with national or natural motifs. During the creative workshops we will get acquainted with one of the oldest crafts &#8211; candle production. We will get acquainted with the taste properties of honey and other bee products. Folk artists and beekeepers will introduce the treasures of national heritage. By singing old folk songs, communicating, enjoying herbal tea, honey, natural Lithuanian cheese, apple cheese, homemade bread, you will learn to weave a wreath from wicker, decorate it with natural materials for the desired occasion (Advent, St. John&#8217;s Day, Easter wreath) or home decor. We will be surrounded by the fragrant beeswax and honey aroma of summer, we will learn about its benefits for health and the environment. During the educational program you will try the dry candle making technique &#8211; from bee hives, we will participate in the process of candle production and its decoration with natural materials.
